In April 1971, 50 years ago, Canada and Germany decided to jointly address important issues in research and innovation by signing the agreement on scientific and technological cooperation. The NephroCAGE consortium is honored to be selected as a distinguished Canadian-German cooperation project in the year of the 50th anniversary of the binational cooperation.

The NephroCAGE cooperation was established to bring together Canadian and German research excellence. Both nations face similar trends and challenges in healthcare. Both nations have leading research institutes for artificial intelligence and healthcare. Strong partners from research and industry with international experience from both nations join forces in the NephroCAGE consortium to have an impact on a very specific medical use case.
